L’Emilie, first published in 1912 by Emilie Gourd, was a Swiss feminist monthly magazine. It was initially titled Le Mouvement Féministe. It shows the development of feminism over the past hundred years. The journal’s initial goal was to support the call for women’s suffrage. The title was changed in the 1960s, first to Femmes suisses, later to Femmes en Suisse. In 2001, it was renamed as L’Emilie in honour of its founder. The last printed edition was published in August 2009. It is now published as a website.
L’Emilie is published by the Association Femmes suisses et le Mouvement féministe which is based in Geneva.
