Schweizerisches Archiv für Thierheilkunde und Thierzucht
The Swiss Archive for Veterinary Medicine (SAT) is the oldest veterinary journal in the world. It was first published in 1816 and celebrated its 200th anniversary in 2016. The journal, which is the official publication of the Swiss Veterinary Society (GST), is issued once a month in German and French and is aimed at members of the GST as well as a wider audience of readers interested in veterinary medicine both in Switzerland and abroad. The purpose of this specialist periodical is to share veterinary knowledge, enhance the reputation of the veterinary profession and stimulate dialogue amongst practitioners. On top of this, the SAT provides information about the latest developments within the profession and the society and features helpful articles on legal and economic topics. It also contains announcements from the various sections of the GST, as well as news and reports about activities, conferences, training courses and new developments at the Vetsuisse faculties in Zurich and Bern and reviews of veterinary publications.
